BISMARCK, N.D. -- Governmental jurisdictions wanting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers assistance in removing temporary flood protection measures such as sandbags, Hesco Bastion Concertainers and clay levees must put in their requests no later than Aug. 1, 2009.

Aid in North Dakota Now At $48.3 Million In Grants, Loans and Direct Aid

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Federal aid in housing grants, disaster loans and direct federal assistance mission assignments now stands at $48.3 million, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported today. As part of the $48.3 million, FEMA has obligated $24.66 million in 47 Mission Assignments to other federal agencies, including $15 million to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for removal of temporary flood protection (clay dikes, Hesco Bastion Concertainers and sandbags).
