FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Starting June 9, people in Magoffin County, Ky., are eligible for disaster assistance from the commonwealth and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help with recovery from severe storms, flooding and mudslides that struck May 3 through May 20.

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- More than $6 million in federal disaster assistance has been approved for Kentuckians affected by May's severe storms and flooding, and $5.6 million was already in their hands as of June 5.
