Four Disaster Recovery Centers Will Close And Two SBA Centers Open

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Leon, Madison and Suwannee counties will permanently close on Wednesday, May 20, but help is still available. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will open two centers and have representatives available to discuss low-interest disaster loans in both Madison and Suwannee counties, and help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is as close as an open DRC, phone or computer.

Denial Letter Doesn't Always Mean 'No'

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Georgians who applied for disaster assistance after the storms and flooding of March 26 - April 13 and received a denial letter shouldn't take the first "no" as the final answer.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Jackson County will permanently close at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 17, but those who suffered damages due to the storms and flooding between March 26 and May 5 can still get the help they need.

Alabama Disaster Survivors May Receive Letters From SBA and FEMA

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- During the course of disaster recovery, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may send letters to disaster survivors regarding their status for assistance.
